Hartlebury Castle is a 13th century gem nestling in the heart of the Worcestershire countryside.
For centuries the residence of the Bishop of Worcester, the Castle is now owned by the Hartlebury Castle Preservation Trust and is open for visits. Leading catering professional Anne Worrallo-Hickman and her son James recently opened James’ Kitchen in this historic setting.
You can access the cafe and restaurant without visiting the Castle so it’s perfect for a casual brunch, a lunch with friends or an indulgent afternoon tea served on vintage china.
Treats for all the family
Located in the atmospheric old castle kitchen, with charming retro decor, James’ Kitchen offers a fabulous lunchtime menu – from delicious soup and panini to mouth-watering prawn platters and seasonal daily specials.
Children are warmly welcomed, with a menu for little-ones featuring Fish Fingers from the Moat, Cavalier Cannon Ball and Fruit Swords.
Freshly baked scones with lashings of cream and jam, crumpets and a tempting range of home-baked cakes are served throughout the day. To see our complete menu just click here.
